- Kenya airways allows expectant mother to travel up to 34 weeks for a multiple pregnancy (more than one child) and 36 weeks for single pregnancy with a doctor’s recommendation letter. The recommendation letter should specify gestation dates.
- No medical clearance is required for the expectant mother on condition that there are no complications with the pregnancy and that the expectant mother is less than 36 weeks.
- If an expectant experienced some / any complications during the pregnancy, a medical questionnaire must be completed for medical clearance and all travel must be completed within 32 weeks.
- All expectant mothers are not allowed to travel after 36 weeks, for all our flights (International flights, regional and domestic flights).
- All expectant mothers in advanced stages (less than 4 weeks) require medical clearance before flying.
- All expectant mothers cannot be allowed to travel within the last 7 days before confinement and the first 7 days after delivery.
- New mothers can travel 7 days after birth.
